The Lake District staying in the quiet market town of Ulverston to enjoy walks on the Cumbrian Way or Coniston Old Man with an optional and unique opportunity of a muddy adventure with Queens Guide. Depart 2pm Friday.

Join us on this active and fun weekend to the Lake District where we stay in Ulverston, a fine market town in the centre of the Furness peninsula, with its old buildings and cobbled streets, and what is claimed to be the deepest, widest, and straightest canal in the UK (now disused).  This  is the starting point of the Cumbrian Way that links Ulverston to Carlisle, an enjoyable footpath that winds its way northwards through the countryside above Ulverston and along the valleys, fell and lakes. Enjoy relatively easy walking on the Cumbrian Way or alternatively tackle the high Lakeland tops Old Man of Coniston (806m).

On Sunday choose a pleasant countryside walk or join a charity walk (donation on the day) and participate in an adventure across the mud banks of Morecombe Bay from Arnside to Kents Bank led by the Queens Guide. This really is something special – truly a different experience that will have up to your knees in mud but leave you laughing for weeks!  This weekend of walks, fun and adventure has it all.
