Walking Weekends for Clubs

Lincolnshire Wolds - walks, churches and Tennyson

The Lincolnshire Wolds I promise will surprise  - they offer fantastic walking country from open hilltops to sheltered valleys with hidden villages, long lost hamlets and churches to delight set in rolling chalk lands of a superb Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It is also Tennyson's land and walks can be customised to suit lovers of the poets work. With accommodation and packages to suit all pockets this is a location to recommend.

The Chilterns to ramble or cycle and much more

The Chilterns - an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty offer something for everyone to enjoy: wonderful views from the chalk downs, carpets of flowers, our abundant Red Kites, glorious beech woods and unspoilt rural village, many with Churches of special interest and a landscape reflecting the dominance of agriculture with little industrialisation. Above all, a wonderful network of over 1500 miles of public footpaths and quiet lanes offer a fantastic opportunity to explore this beautiful countryside on foot or bicycle. Short or long walks or rides or adventurous routes are readily at hand and with an abundant variety of accommodation inclusive packages to suit groups of all kinds are available.

And remember the Chilterns are so close to London and its airports, airport or railway pickups are easily arranged just let us know your requirements and dates.

The Southern Uplands of Scotland - quiet hills to roam

Just across the border with Scotland lies the Southern Uplands of Scotland and Galloway recently designated as an international Dark Park. So if you are a keen walker looking for walks in an area that is rarely visited, being much emptier than the Lake District but generally higher and rougher; less massive and craggy than the Highlands it offers its own distinct beauty. In fact, it is Scotland condensed and I have it on good repute that it is now way a tame sibling of the Highlands! But an essential experience which, by happy accident, conveniently stands guard at Scotland's door.

And remember nearby we have the lovely Galloway Hills recently designated as one of the world's few Dark National Park so astronomers I am pleased we have a location and walks for you to enjoy. With inclusive packages available to suit all.
